The Harvey House is seeking a full-time Lead to join our team. Our ideal candidate has at least one year of experience working in a high-volume, full-service bar and is passionate about thoughtful hospitality, quality beverages, and creating memorable guest experiences. This role will train as a bartender and be able to work both behind the bar and on the floor as a captain.
The Harvey House is a celebration of Wisconsin’s iconic supper clubs. Brought back to life by Midwest natives Shaina and Joe Papach, the historic Baggage Claim House and Train Car are now home to a stunning renovation where the history, culture, and cuisine of the 19th century meet modern design and culinary inspiration.
About the Role:
Our bartenders are responsible for providing warm, professional, and knowledgeable service while preparing consistent, high-quality cocktails and beverages. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable managing a busy bar, and excited to work collaboratively with both the bar and dining room teams.
What We’re Looking For:
At least one year of bartending experience in a high-volume, full-service bar
Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
A genuine interest in hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests
Excellent organization, communication, and time-management skills
The ability to remain composed, attentive, and efficient throughout service
A collaborative attitude and willingness to support the entire restaurant team

We are seeking an experienced Front of House hospitality professional to join our team at The Harvey House. The Maître d’ is at the heart of our Front of House culture. This person leads our Host Team, manages guest relationships, and helps strengthen The Harvey House community. As a key member of our leadership team, the Maître d’ sets the tone for each evening and serves as the crucial link between our guests and the dining room team.
Responsibilities include:
Leading, training, and supporting the Host Team
Mapping reservations and strategically planning each evening’s service
Managing guest requests and special occasions
Maintaining our Relevant Events Calendar and communicating important information to the team
Overseeing guest communications before, during, and after their visits
Collaborating with the management and Floor Teams to ensure a seamless guest experience
Helping maintain thoughtful, accurate guest notes and reservation records
Contributing to a welcoming, organized, and professional Front of House culture
Technological fluency is a plus, as we use Resy and Google Workspace to manage reservations, guest communications, and internal planning.
This is a full-time hourly position with an expected schedule of four to five days per week. Shifts typically begin at 1:15 or 2:00 p.m. and conclude around 9:00 or 10:00 p.m., depending on the evening.
